Class is full

Tuesdays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM

AGES 6 - 10

In this class students will be exposed to a wide range of two- and three-dimensional media promoting self-exploration, self-esteem, self-care, problem-solving, and creativity. By designing “I, Superhero” masks and capes, collaging “Uniquely Me” self-portraits, and paper-maching “My Strong Hands” students will identity what makes them resilient and unique individuals. Promoting self-care, self-soothing and self-love will be instilled through the process of creating comfort box, pillows, sensory shaving cream marbling, and felted soaps. Finally, students will engage in creative exploration and problem solving as they paint abstract landscapes, draw scribble monsters, and design “My Magical World.” Through these and other projects, students will be given opportunities in a safe and caring environment to take creative risks, build community with like-minded students and teachers, and learn more about themselves and their artistic potential.
